Here's a snapshot of the events we put on this year to reach our goal of $11,000:
-2 Car Washes
-The Great Strides walk Group (where we raised over $500 for CF research)
-Money Tins around Campus
-A Bar Blitz
-Our 3rd Annual Golf Tournament (this year held at Lingan Golf & Country Club)
-Face Painting at Local Community Events
-Lunch Sub Sales
-Various BBQs around the University & at Car Washes
-Bottle Drives
-Shine Pendant sales
-The 9th Annual Softball Tournament
-and of course SHINE DAY 2009!
After Shine Day we hosted a few events as well:
-A Rise and Shine Breakfast (In partnership with our radio sponsor The Giant 101.9)
-SHINE FEST '09 (a bar night at the campus pub to celebrate reaching our Shinerama goal of $11,000 and to introduct our new drink, The SHINE SHOT)
