Alliance of Nova Scotia Student Associations (ANSSA)
ANSSA was formed in 2003 out of a perceived need for a unified student voice in Nova Scotia to address student related issues that were prevalent at the time such as declining enrolment levels, a lack of needs based grants, as well as Nova Scotia having the highest tuition in Canada.
ANSSA’s vision is for a high quality post – secondary education system that is affordable and accessible to every qualified student.
ANSSA currently represents over 85% of Students in Nova Scotia consisting of the Student Unions of Cape Breton, Dalhousie, Acadia, St Mary’s, and St FX universities.
